I Paid 20 Bucks For That?!?

AS I EXITED the Brooklyn Bridge walkway (click here) and crossed Park Drive into Lower Manhattan, I heard some laughter and noticed a small crowd. A group of shirtless men (some eye candy) were setting up some kind of street performance and had an entertaining patter with the crowd. I stopped to watch. They were entertaining and they collected donations before the actual act. They asked for $20, knowing they'd get less. I gave them what they asked for. I was generous because the patter was good and the money had to be shared. I'm glad I helped them make a living. However, next time I'll wait until I see what I'm paying for.

Me detuve a mirar.

I always thought I was "scrawny guy"; I am now, apparently, "big guy."

At least I wasn't the only generous sucker. I've been away from New York way too long.

  3. I'm sure they all had fun. If they'd do it again is a different matter entirely.

  4. Looks entertaining, but I doubt I'd have been as generous as you.

  5. I'm taking away your "New York card." You will have to eat pizza with a knife and fork from now on.

  6. I don't know proper etiquette. Did you ask for a refund? Did you at least keep the receipt?

Maybe it was just the fact that he called me "Big Guy."

  10. Our internet here had deteriorated and is SOOOO SLOW I can't watch the video...it will take 30 minutes to load...and even though it's not my $20, I'm afraid I wouldn't get your money's worth. We are looking into a different internet provider.

You didn't miss much in those videos. No one got my $20 worth! Good luck with the new internet provider. That can be so frustrating.
