A CAFÉ BOMBÓN is a drink that originated in Valencia, Spain. The recipe (yes, I'm providing a recipe) is equal portions of espresso and condensed milk. It doesn't appeal to me, but it's one of our friend Tynan's favorite morning blends and now I know why. See below as Tynan slowly squeezes the condensed milk from its tube.

DeleteNot to me
I'd try it
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteI tried a dessert once with a bit of condensed milk, on Tynan's recommendation. Not for me!
It has a wonderful gritty texture.
DeleteI do love expresso, this looks thick, but I think I would try it.

DeleteFor me, it's just cloyingly sweet.
I'd try that.
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie:
DeleteWould you feel 19 again, do you think?
If I wasn't at fat club I'm with Anne marie
ReplyDeleteJohn:
DeleteI'd save my "cheats" do better things.
Interesting indeed but I will be sticking to straight espresso.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Mitchell!
Jim:
DeleteMe too. Or cafe con leche or mocha or...
doesn't sound like my idea for a drink, Daisy's maybe
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteNot my taste.
Yo bebe te
ReplyDeleteSpo:
DeleteThat would be "bebo" or "tomo" ... But, maybe you could it to your te!
This was hot on many levels.
ReplyDeleteRobyn:
DeleteNot in my espresso, thanks!
Not my cup of tea... er, coffee.
ReplyDeleteRozzie:
DeleteNor mine.
Oh, my. Said with my best George Takei accent.
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteYep, and can't say "oh my" without thinking of George Takei.
I am with you Mitchell! No condensed milk for me!
ReplyDeleteRobin:
DeleteBlech. Not to mention the look!
I thought you were making some kind of sexual innuendo in your commentary but figured I was mistaken because no one was picking up on it in the comments. But thank goodness for Rawkinrobyn and wcs -- they confirmed I was not reading too much into it!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteI'm guessing some might not have gotten it (nudge nudge wink wink), but I have a feeling most are just too polite to mention it.
What a good idea to go with your Espresso.
ReplyDeleteLaurent:
DeleteMaybe yours. Much too syrupy sweet for me... (we ARE talking about condensed milk?).
Yes and your point is?
DeleteLaurent:
DeleteJust for clarification. I'm pointless...
