ESTOY MUY CONTENTO que no tenemos que pagar los precios de Brooklyn por estacionar. Aquí en Fuengirola y Málaga, usualmente pagamos menos que 1 euro por una hora (incluyendo impuesto).
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, FOR A HALF HOUR! PLUS TAX! EL BARRIO DE BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, ¡POR UNA MEDIA HORA! ¡MÁS IMPUESTOS! |
Good golly, that is terrible! We have no metered parking in our little town, it's all free. In the bigger nearest town it is 50 cents an hour.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.

DeletePrices of everything were shocking.
highway robbery!
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteIt's unbelievable. We paid $45 a night for valet parking at our hotel, and no in and out privileges. If we took the car out twice in one day, which we decidedly did NOT do, we would have had to have paid an additional $45!
OMG! I get pissy if I have to pay more than $5 an HOUR!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteNothing seems affordable anymore!
That's a great money spinner those car parks - er' do you own many of them Mitchell ? :-)
ReplyDeleteHeron:
DeleteOh, if only we had invested. Of course, we're the suckers who would insist on not charging so much.
And that is why few people have cars in New York! I am way too cheap for that kind of parking price. Here most of it is free! Although I do live in a small town. They just opened a new hospital here and decided not to charge for parking there, although though they did at the old one. Smart move I say, I always thought it was a rip off charging people to park at the hospital when they obviously not at their best.

DeleteSo much in New York now comes with a huge price tag. It's important to visit my brother, and friends and family, but the cost was insane. We didn't enjoy staying with my mother in the past, but we saved thousands by doing so!
Sometimes ubering somewhere is cheaper than these parking prices
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteI've never used Uber, but we needed a car often, unfortunately and taxis weren't always convenient (especially for some of the distances). It was a very expensive trip!
Saw a sign for a garage in NYC for a parking garage, the daily rate for a bike was $15.
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteA "cheap" commute to work. $75 a week to "park" your bike. Jeez.
Get out!! That's NUTS!
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteWe just got back from dinner with friends. 5 euros for more than 3 hours in a downtown garage. If this were Brooklyn, we'd be broke.
THAT is pricey!
ReplyDeleteJim:
DeleteWe paid $45 for valet parking at our hotel. We planned carefully because each time we took the car out and brought it back, it would have been another $45. Nuts!
That is the reason I always take the train into New York. No wasted money, and I can have a nice gin and tonic in the bar car on the way up.

DeleteGin is an important motivator.
