My Bakery / Mi Panedería

WHILE WE WERE visiting the Kid Brother last week, he pulled out his phone and happily told me, "I got a picture of your bakery!"

It appeared to be a photo taken of a Christmas display.

MY BAKERY (ACCORDING TO THE KID BROTHER).
MI PANEDERÏA (DE ACUERDO CON EL HERMANITO).
THE KID BROTHER IN "MY" ICE CREAM PARLOR.

I loved it... and that he took a picture for me.

  2. You better get yourself one. The Kid Brother will be disappointed if he visits you and it's not there.

And I'll have to spell it the same way. Anyway, that's what a lot of people here think my name actually is.

I wonder if Mia's can just open a branch here and name it for me... Michelle's!

I would proudly tell you if it were so. In Spain, many people think that's my name. They pronounce the French Michelle as Me-TCHELL.

  5. I'm using your blog to slowly expand my Spanish, Mitch. Thank you! I love the sound of "la semana pasada" and I have a new vocabulary word today: La heladeria. Sweet!

So happy. And you've chosen two phrases I know are correct. There's always a risk when you follow me that you'll learn to speak broken Spanish!

He's still adorable. Sometimes I just want to hug him... but he would say, "Now cut that out!"

IHOP ice cream sundae. Not bad, huh? I had a side of Dark Belgian Chocolate Pancakes. So I didn't need dessert!

Me? Bake? I made protein muffins some years back. I forgot to add the protein.

I get him to smile by tossing him a line from the Three Stooges, Abbott & Costello, or The Honeymooners. It works every time.
