I DON'T KNOW why, but the first song that comes to mind begins with the line, "I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in." All is well. The doctor promised yesterday that this little surgery wouldn't have any impact on my hairline. He clearly gets me.
YESTERDAY. ODDLY FLUSHED AND SMILING. (THE ANESTHESIA HADN'T YET WORN OFF.) AYER. EXTRAÑAMENTE ENROJECIDO Y SONRIENDO. (LA ANESTESIA AÚN NO HABÍA DESAPARECIDO. ) |
Él claramente me entiende.
Oh my God, Mitch, all your hair fell off too! (Sorry...)
ReplyDeleteRozzie:
DeleteI KNOW. I'm shocked!
great googly moogly! they took half your head off! does it hurt this morning? and what was it?
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteTwo unrelated things were removed. Nothing to worry about. Minor shiner of the eye today. And the head bandage is about a quarter the size now. It hurt last night. Today, it only hurts when I smile (really, it does) and when I move too fast.
I hope that your skull brain will no longer fill with rain on the plains (and beaches) of Spain. :)
ReplyDeleteSnoskred:
DeleteAnd I hope it no longer stops my mind from wandering ... but it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong... etc.
Battle scars and beauty marks
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteWhere are my medals?!?
You seem mighty chipper, though.....
ReplyDeleteBob:
DeleteLike I said, the anesthesia hadn't worn off yet. A bit less chipper since.
Lovely headpiece! Walk around outside for a bit and see if it catches on with the two-patterned, one shorter shorts leg wearing fashionistas!
ReplyDeleteDeedles:
DeleteWent out for coffee this morning with a smaller bandage. Got a few side glances. I should change to a plaid bandage. That's sure to catch on.
'Battle scars'! Our lives are full of them. Wear yours proudly, young fella!!
ReplyDeleteJim:
DeletePretty soon, there'll be more scars than anything else. But, so far, they're barely noticeable.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteThanks. It will be speedy.
This looks serious but you are smiling so hopefully recovering.
ReplyDeleteLaurent:
DeleteNot at all serious. Just an overly dramatic first bandage.
How many stitches are lurking under that bandage? Hope it doesn't hurt much.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteOnly 4 external stitches. The bandage was overkill. New daily bandage is one quarter the size. It doesn't hurt... much!
Oh, jeez, I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteKirk:
DeleteAlready improving. Thanks! It only hurts when I laugh (really, it does).
Hoping you have a speedy recovery and relieved it wasn't Jerry who had this surgery.....
ReplyDeleteLeann:
DeleteThanks! Doing fine. And you'd be surprised at what a good patient Jerry's become. You CAN teach an old dog a new trick.
Oh, Mitchell! Somehow I missed several days of blog posts (including the one with the excellent new frame on the Dowager Duchess painting), and I tuned in today to find you in bandages. Whoa! Hang on! That's enough, now, with all of the little surgeries here and there. The bandages are startling. I'm glad to read that you consider the surgery minor. Yikes.
ReplyDeleteJudy
Judy:
DeleteToday's bandage is one quarter the size of yesterday's. And without the bandage, you wouldn't even notice the incision. The bandage is only to add to the drama (well, not really; I have to wear one until the stitches come out). Yeah, lots of little dramas this year. It's really because I'm swapping everything out and going bionic. It's a slow process.
Dear me! I turn my back on blogland for a week or so and this happens. Now I get to read backwards to see how it all started.
ReplyDeleteSpo:
DeleteYou see? Don't turn your back on blogland ever again.
It's always something. If it's not one thing, it's another. Roseanne Roseannadanna's father was wise. Glad it's done and not expected to be problem. :)
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteI started off with a Roseanne Roseannadanna video. And then I got sidetracked with Emily Litella. Never mind.
"Never mind." LOL
DeleteHaaaa haaaaaaa!
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteI can laugh today. Haaaa haaaaaaa back atcha!
You do look like you just won the lottery
ReplyDeleteafter a trip to the eye doctor
Adam:
DeleteDrugs?
As with several others I've been away from reading blogs the past week or two. The things we do for beauty! Hope all is well and things are healing quickly.
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteI tried to get the doctor to remove the bags from under my eyes while he was at it, but he said he would leave that to another colleague. Oh well.
