YEARS AGO, SAN Geraldo had a friend who managed a gift and card shop. He had hernia surgery. San Geraldo sent him a beautiful flower arrangement. The friend wrote a very cheesy thank you note he later admitted to copying off one of his greeting cards, "Mere words cannot express..." it began.
With that in mind, here are more photos of Fuengirola's local color.
Were it not for having extraneous pockets, most or all of these would do service as boxer shorts - where they'd have the merit of being worn unseen.
ReplyDeleteRay:
DeleteBut what would be the fun of having so much flamboyance hidden away?
these guys need a woman (or a gay man) to dress them. are they all color blind? at least the shorts are the correct length.
ReplyDeleteanne marie:
DeleteOK, remember Bob Slatten! Also, Photo #6 is of a woman. There's really no hope. (Oh, the shorts... More photos still to come! I've decided to two separate "style" posts.)
Isn't it nice to see men not afraid of color and patterns?
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteAnd women (photo #6). But sometimes they make ME afraid of color and patterns.
OUCHY!
ReplyDeleteWhen we see these outfits around here we think of you, Mitch! And believe me, there are a few!
I think you are either born with a sense of colour matching or not......gay or straight.
Jim:
DeleteI agree. It has absolutely nothing to do with being straight!
LOL!
DeleteSeriously what is happening to your locale!
ReplyDeleteTrouble is this phenomena has seeped across the waters.
Honest it's clambering up the shores as I speak.
Besides as Ricky Ricardo would say "either you have it or you dunt"!!!!
Ron:
DeleteWell, they mostly come from the UK. We "dun't" have so much of it with locals.
It was written by my friend, Mr. Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteAnd he was so very clever.
Your town needs a store called The Plain Shop that sells only summer wear in PLAIN fabrics - no patterns!
ReplyDeletesillygirl:
DeleteI LOVE that idea. However, I think the tourists (mostly British in this case) bring this stuff with them. But a "Plain Shop" is a brilliant idea for those who find this challenging.
Damn hippies!
ReplyDeleteDeedles:
DeleteOh, I'll start collecting photos of the damn hippies. They set a completely different standard (and I remember that standard well).
Normally I can find something I like in the mishmash of patterns and colors, but not today!
ReplyDeleteBob:
DeleteI'm so disappointed. There are a few here I thought you'd like. The next to the last guy really gave his outfit some thought.
Thanks goodness I already ate.
ReplyDeleteThey sure do love there darn pattern over there don't they?
mistress maddie:
DeleteThey mostly bring it with them from the UK. Proof is the last guy reading The Daily Mail!
The 2 zigzags together was a nice try, although far too drab.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteI thought that showed some thought.
Good Lord -- my eyes! MY EYES!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteI get so happy when I see these. You should see me sneaking some of the shots. One of these days...
I think Spain should officially ban checks and stripes from within it's borders!
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteIt's the tourist trade. The customer is always right.
How do they get it so wrong, And why don't there other half tell them about it, Hope you are both well
ReplyDeleteUnknown:
DeleteSome don't have other halfs, I guess. And other halfs either like it, or get their jollies this way. So, who are you "Unknown"? Then I'll tell you how we both are.
It's Chris from uk we met in the Sandpiper
DeleteHi Chris: It looks like you got the "anonymous" problem figured it! Hope you're both doing well!
DeleteYes eventually Hope you and Gerry are ok and your eye problem all sorted
DeleteChris: Thanks. Eye problem sorted. New one now as a result of the surgery. Another easier surgery to come. I think it's just the strain of the local colors!
DeleteI think the biggest offenders are the ones that tuck in the shirt. It shows they were somewhat trying and therefore aware of their outfit choice. The others might have just picked two cleanish things off the floor to wear without a second glance.
ReplyDeleteKMoff:
DeleteI agree ... but only because I think they go from bad to worse when they're tucked in (although the looks is growing on me and I actually like some of thse.... not enough to go out in public... but).
I am sure these are all ex-pats, Spaniards have more sense of style? No?
ReplyDeleteLaurent:
DeleteI have a feeling a Spaniard sneaks one in every now and then but, yes, mostly tourists and expats.
I've seen a few of those patterns on awnings...
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteAre they made in the UK?
