The Vodka Solution / ¡La Solución De Vodka!

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

WE TRIED TO go to the Feria del Rosario — the fair in honor of the Virgin of Rosario (yes another virgin... or version of The Virgin) — Saturday night. We tried. We usually avoid the weekend for the fair. Too many people. Too loud. The music from every ride and every caseta was deafening. We won't try again. San Geraldo lasted about a minute and a half. I stayed. I waited 15 minutes for Tynan and Elena to arrive, and I told them I was leaving. I went to Restaurante Primavera where San Geraldo was waiting with two vodka tonics. We quickly felt much better. Although for me it was because I sat under an orange moon with San Geraldo.

Yo me quedé.

IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE AFTERNOON.
EN NUESTRO BARRIO MÁS TEMPRANO.
I DIDN'T EVEN GET INSIDE.
YO NO SIQUIERA IR DENTRO.
I COULDN'T HEAR THE FIREWORKS OVER THE MUSIC.
YO NO PUDE ESCUCHAR LOS FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES SOBRE LA MÚSICA.

  1. Yes, Mitchell we too had an orange moon which rose from behind an ash tree and beautiful she looked too. Vodka I only use for mixing with cherry juice to make a bottle liqueur with and is corked up until Winter Solstice to celebrate the season.

Let me know when we're uncorking that bottle!

  2. I am not one for crowds either, the older I get the grumpier they make me. I would have been much happier having a quiet drink under the full moon too

Jerry hates crowds. And the volume makes us nuts. I just don't get that. I even hated it during the disco era. Yes I was there!

  3. With some of the dresses I used to wear for drag, I'd fit right in!

  5. I'd rather sit with SG under an orange moon drinking a vodka tonic too. crowds & loud noises bother me as I age with dignity.

I have never liked either. Age has nothing to do with it... except now I'm smart enough to leave.

Isn't a black moon supposed to be good thing... I mean, if you believe in that shit... oops.

  9. We had an incredible orange moon over the Gulf that same evening - well a bit later. We were at a party but as there wasn't a Virgin in the crowd it was more sedate.

Are you absolutely sure there was no virgin in the crowd? Positively sure?

  10. Such a lot of fuss over a silly virgin. Hell, hundreds of thousands of 'em are born every day!

But they're all named Mary. How does one tell them apart?

I wish I had gone to Féria for the parade during the day instead of the noise at night. It's beautiful.

  12. I too would have escaped the crowd and the noise. It looks like you found a nice corner of paradise.

Primavera is a few minutes from home, faces the beach, and is always a pleasure... especially on a night like that.

Styles are constantly changing and some women actually have new dresses made every year -- or have old ones updated. It's an expensive proposition.
