¿QUÉ PIENSAS? ¿ESTÁN esos pingüinos en las escaleras de la Catedral de Málaga? Después de eso, disfruta las luces de la ciudad — y Moose y Dudo.
IS IT ME OR DO THE TALL FIGURES LOOK A LOT LIKE PENGUINS? ¿SOY YO O LAS FIGURAS ALTAS SE PARECEN MUCHÍSIMO A LOS PINGÜINOS? |
MOOSE & DUDO: PENGUINS? TOO BIG. WAKE US AGAIN IF YOU SEE A SWALLOW." MOOSE Y DUDO: ¿PINGÜINOS? DEMASIADO GRANDE. "DESPIÉRTENOS DE NUEVO SI HAY UN AVIÓN ROQUERO." |
si, LOS PINGÜINOS.
ReplyDeleteyour city really pulls out all the stops on holiday lights. love the mix of architectural styles and the narrow streets.
have a good sleep, boys; dream of the swallows instead.

DeleteAnd this is the big city of Málaga. I have more to come from our city of Fuengirola.
The post is heartwarming as it bring memories of towns here putting out the town square decorations and lamp post garland. Some towns where I live do it, but a lit have stopped sad. Philly does a glorious job decking the city.

DeleteThis is new to me since coming to Spain. Where I lived there would be usually once big display in town and then people decorated their own houses. I love it.
The lights are gorgeous, even on what seems to be really tiny streets.
ReplyDeleteAnd the boys are exhausted from the days and days of bird watching.
Bob
DeleteAnd the boys haven’t stopped. Siesta and back at it.
Penguins are everywhere.

DeleteFascinating, isn't it? I've heard they Travel.
That huge cone-shaped lit-up street decoration really puts a strain on the phrase 'Christmas TREE!' But so what, people like it - as do I.
ReplyDeleteNow it's the season when D & M will have so much to play with and leap at with all your own indoor tinselly, sparkly stuff. When much younger and right up until my early 20s, I was the one in the family who managed and put up all the decorations including a real tree - which inevitably came crashing down sometime during the season at least two or three times when our cat(s) at the time couldn't resist those coloured balls and twinkly fairy lights. Have you got precautions against that happening so that they can only look longingly at the display from a safe distance?
Ray
DeleteI’ve been a bit of a humbug so far. No decorations. But no matter what I don’t think I’ll put up a tree of Christmas “toys” for Moose and Dudo.
I love your sparkly lights, especially since we don't really do decorations ourselves. Belizean business and towns start putting up decoration right after the November 19th Garifuna Settlement Day celebration. Rest up little kitties - birds are coming!

DeleteMoose was in bird heaven this morning. Thankfully, they kept their distance..
Those aren't penguins, its The Father and the Holy Spirit's true forms.
ReplyDeleteAdam
DeleteMy father didn’t look anything like that.
Penguins with sunglasses....and two sidekick donkeys
ReplyDeleteCheapchick
DeleteA friend of mine thinks the small one is a baby penguin.
What gorgeous Christmas lights! Wasted on cats, though.
ReplyDeleteDebra
DeleteDudo and Moose love the Christmas lights they can see from our terrace. These in Málaga might even distract them from the birds... for a moment.
How beautiful. They certainly know how to do beautiful and tasteful lights in Spain. I recall wonderful light displays in Madrid the year we were there between Christmas and New Years. How fortunate you are.
ReplyDeleteWillym
DeleteI'd love to see the lights in other cities. But Madrid might be too cold for our thin blood!
I love all the color and excitement of Spanish festivals.
ReplyDeleteStephen:
DeleteSo do I.
WOW! Very festive indeed!
ReplyDeleteJim
DeleteUplifting!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, I love this!
