Like A Hole In My Head / Como Un Agujero En Mi Cabeza

I HAVE A bump on my head.

And I'm not talking about the bump (and cut) I gave myself Wednesday when I slammed my head on the edge of the bathroom door.

This bump on my head has been there for about five years. I wanted it removed right away. But the doctor at the time said it was nothing. So now, although it's still nothing, it's a bigger nothing and after it's surgically removed this evening it's going to leave a bigger hole, and I don't have any hair to grow in and cover it up. (Really, it's not so big.)

And, although I need this like I need a hole in my head, my mood has evened out and despite the minor annoyance I'm doing well. Maybe it was the moon.

Yesterday, the doctor froze off some spots on the top of my head. It took a few seconds and when he was done I said, "I hope you didn't ruin my hair" [my head is shaved]. He smiled and said, "Man! You should have said something before I started!" I like this doctor.

1971 AND 1973: MAYBE A HAT WOULD BE BETTER ANYWAY.

  2. My father used to get those all of the time! He'd wait until they grew so big thru his hair that he looked like a cartoon character that had gotten hit with a bat. He'd then shave his head and have them removed. My sister kept hers :)
I know I seem somewhat obsessed with SG's face, but you too have a beautiful, manly countenance. Such pretty eyes. I'm glad you feel better. That bathroom door needs to be put down!

I don't know what exactly this was. But clearly nothing like what your father had. He would have considered this tiny and unnoticeable. All doors in my vicinity (and kitchen cabinet handles) need to be wrapped in bubble wrap!

    2. I dunno, his started out small and unnoticeable and grew before he'd take care of it. My sister just combed her hair over hers.
Bubble wrap sounds like a good idea to ol' naturally clumsy me!

You two crack me up. I would have loved to have taken you to the prom, anne marie. But (1) my high school didn't have one and (2) I finished 6 months early and started college, so I didn't even go to graduation. And "he" didn't think so at the time but he WAS kind of adorable, wasn't he? (Which means in another GASP 47 years, I'll think this me was adorable.)

I'm not absolutely sure but I don't think the hole is quite big enough.

Do you believe it?!? It still grows thick on the sides and back, but that would just look weird.

My sister bought my graduation photo shirt and tie for my father for Christmas. But he wouldn't wear the shirt because it was purple. The second photo was taken in Dusseldorf. My sister had bought ME that dark eggplant lambswool sweater at Marks & Spencer!

Quiste cutaneo is one of its Spanish names... although the doctor called it a tumor.
