Pussycat, Pussycat, I Love You / Gatito, Gatito, Te Amo

La versión español está después de la primera foto.

WE ADOPTED DUDO and Moose from a shelter in Sevilla more than 6 years ago. They turned 7 in July.

When we returned from our travels more than a week ago, Moose was overjoyed to see us. No attitude, just affection.

Dudo gave us attitude for about 24 hours. Not too much attitude, however; he called a truce at treat time. Since then, they will not let us out of their sight.

Dudo is on my lap right now and Moose just headed off to see San Geraldo. I can hear them talking.

So this is love.

DUDO.

Puedo escucharlos hablar.

Entonces esto es amor.

ON MY LAP BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP.
EN MI REGAZO ANTES DE QUE YO VAYA A DORMIR.
NEXT TO MY PILLOW DURING THE NIGHT.
AL LADO DE MI ALMOHADA DURANTE LA NOCHE.

MOOSE (MUSY).
"RUB MY TUMMY."
"FROTE MI BARRIGA."
"C'MON! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO."
"VENGA. SABES QUE QUIERES."

"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING NOW?!?"
"¿!¿A DONDE PENSÁIS QUE VAIS AHORA?!?

¿Qué es nuevo gatito?

One of the best decision we ever made was adopting them.

  2. Aren't they just THE cutest? Give them your solemn word that you will never, NEVER, leave them again. Then keep your word.

I won't lie to them. But right now every time we leave the house, we tell them where we're going and that we won't be long.

    2. I love Tom Jones! I have his greatest hits on cd. Not a clunker on it. I like his growly version of Kiss.

Ha! Fortunately, these guys never bite. Dudo simply turned his back on me.

Oh, we do, too, so much. And they continue to evolve and grow more and more affectionate.

  9. Are Moose and Dudo related, or did you just adopt two cats with similar coloring?

They're litter mates. Their three colorful sisters got adopted quickly leaving these two "ordinary" kittens living in a cage at the shelter for 10 months. We're so glad we found them. https://mitchellismoving.blogspot.com/2012/11/you-must-have-been-beautiful-baby.html

They do live well. The place is basically designed around them, their toys, their climbing towers... Obsessive-compulsive me sometimes wants to move everything to one room... but I love them too much for that.

I know for certain they lower my blood pressure... most days. Maybe not when Moose is walking around the house at 5 a.m. yowling because no one is up to feed him and pay some attention.

  14. I have always found it interesting cats give attitude when you travel and come back, but dogs don't.

I've known some dogs who give major attitude. Buster Bolfig Borghese is a rare breed, I think.
