Artificial Mucus And Other Good Things / Moco Artificial Y Otras Cosas Buenas

WE ENJOYED ANOTHER delicious Christmas Eve dinner at Tynan and Elena's. Their (17-year-old) son, Alexander, and my (8-year-old?) husband, San Geraldo, tore up paper, rolled it into balls, and aimed for each other's mouths.

Judy and I went shopping two days later and found plastic eggs filled with "Artificial Mucus" — for only 1 euro. We didn't buy them.

While we shopped, we stopped for a snack. I had a large cup of café con leche that had a heart-on for me even after I finished it off.

Other Good Things: San Geraldo baked desserts for Elena's Christmas Eve Dinner. Lemon Bars, Brownies, and Apple Crisp (Crumble). And we feel so loved here in Fuengirola.

As long as they're not playing with actual mucus.

But you can never overplay with ARTIFICIAL. The other kind will only last so long. Jerry is an amazing baker. Oh, how I want more. But, I'm glad he gave it away. We simply sampled.

  4. Ah, the warmth in this post.
But again, you tease. Teaser, teaser, ne'er a pleaser with the treats, Mitchell. Where did I go wrong?

  6. Dinosaur mucus, from the looks of the package - what could be better!? Can't understand why you passed up the opportunity.
    Dudo is such a vamp.

I have never played with artificial mucus, but it sure is tempting.

  7. A heart, sure, but it also looks kind of like an angel's wings. You better call the Vatican. You may have a miracle at the bottom of that cup (did it taste heavenly?)

Those lemon bars are always magnificent. And I've never had better brownies. Crusty, melt-in-your-mouth outside and pure fudge inside. That would be so good with my morning coffee today.

  9. Few things can beat drinking a cafe con leche with a heart-on.
And Dudo is keeping an eye on you to check you're not misbehaving - so watch it!

Dudo only watches to make sure he doesn't miss any fun. And I think just about anything with a heart-on could be nice.

  10. Thank the goddess for Dudo, because I was feeling sick at artificial mucus. I can't even stand the real stuff.

And if only we (I) didn't sometimes need to remind myself of how good a life it is.
