WHEN DUDO GETS focused on something, nothing can distract him. I watched him destroy another string mouse. Such exceptional concentration. Or maybe not.
CUANDO DUDO SE concentra en algo, nada puede distraerlo. Lo vi destruir otro ratón de sisal. Tal concentración excepcional. O tal vez no.
anne marie: He is! I just measured the distance from the top of his tree to the ceiling. 32 inches. After I took that last photo, he reached easily and pressed his paws against the ceiling.
Travel: It's constant. He sees the birds in flight and races to the drain where the crag martins always alight, and he prays for one to crawl through the drain.
mistress maddie: That face is our resident drag queen, Olivia de Lopez. She's become good friends with both cats (simply because their tree is in her space).
Kirk: I love that you, Jim, and Debra all call the stone face "Green Man." Her name is Olivia de Lopez (although it may be a drag name) and I also am impressed that she manages to keep a straight face.

Single-mindedness. And when one object has been disposed of, where's the next?
ReplyDeleteRay:
DeleteAnd a little bit of ADD.
dudo is a BIG kitty!

A flighted bird at that?

A born predator, that Dudo. But obviously he disdains a mouse in the paw for a bird in the sky - so fickle.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteHe just always wants what he doesn't have.
Well with 'Green Man' as one's audience, Dudo can really put on quite a show!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the photo series here, Mitchell.
Jim:
Delete"Green Man" is named Olivia de Lopez. She began "life" in the San Juan Islands of Washington.
That there is one beautiful predator!
ReplyDeleteDeedles:
DeleteEven more beautiful since we don't let him actually catch prey.
The Green Man is keeping a close eye on him though!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteFunny that you and Jim both named the face "Green Man." Her "real" name is Olive de Lopez and she doesn't miss anything.
One day he'll get that bird
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteNot if we have anything to say about it. (He's already had one!)
That cat cracks me up! And love the face on the wall just staring at him.

Birds are way more fun than string mice anyday!
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteAnd these two cats will just have to make do with string mice.
Funny cat. I don't know how that Green man keeps a straight face watching him (well, I suppose being mad of what looks like stone helps.)

Haaaaa!

Dudo the might hunter... a thing of legends and songs of old....
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteDudo would be so proud.
After all it's in the job description for cat.
ReplyDeleteSpo:
DeleteThat's a way to get him to stop hunting -- tell him it's in his job description.
