The pie looks amazing! 12 grapes?
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteSpanish tradition. One grape for every chime of the clock at midnight. If you're successful, you'll have good luck, good fortune... something GOOD in the new year. It's really fun, especially out on the public squares when hundreds of people are doing the same thing. But it's best to get seedless grapes!
Food porn!
ReplyDeleteBob:
DeleteIt's all I've got.
SG is a good baker! WTF is that last pix?
ReplyDeleteA tasty dish of another kind...
Deleteanne marie:
DeleteThat last pix? Ridiculous! Did you see her 2017 get-up? She's a daytime TV star.
Heron:
DeleteA bit too tart for me!
Is that woman wearing a body stocking, or is her body painted, or even TATTOOED? I can't tell.
ReplyDeleteKirk:
DeleteBody stocking. I thought the view from the front was ridiculous until I saw the back with her "eqjuipment" taped and wired.
*hyperventilating* Apple pie with a cinnamon roll crust? *swoons*
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteJerry is a keeper!
Is he a vampire?
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteThe woman on these showa are all glamorous and dressed in next to nothing. The men are not. He did look like a vampire to me, so I drained the color from his skin and added red eyes ... as if it weren't already obvious enough.
Now the last photo looks to be quite a tasty dish :)
ReplyDeleteWill SG share his experimental apple pie recipe? It looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteWere you successful with your grape consumption?
Wilma:
DeleteI'll see what I can get for you. He found it on Youtube and the recipe wasn't specific, so he had to fudge a bit as he went along and he also thought he ended up with twice the cinnamon there should have been. I am ALWAYS successful with my grape consumption. Elena couldn't find any without seeds, so I just swallowed those, too.
Very weird tv host outfits...Count Chocula and I don't even know what was going on with bodysuit lady?!? The apple pie experiment looks great, please share his secrets
ReplyDeleteCheapchick:
DeleteThe duos they choose for these New Year's coverage are comical. The women usually wear oddly inappropriate sex-kitten outfits and the men usually can't pale in looks.
You are aware of how fortunate you are to have your own personal baker trying out these exquisite recipes!! Of course you are!!
ReplyDeleteJim:
DeleteWe are ALL aware of it.
My goodness, did someone tape a couple of battery packs nicely camouflaged onto her back there? :)
ReplyDeleteSnoskred:
DeleteDo you believe that?!? POORLY camouflaged is more like it. Such a ridiculous outfit... from beginning to end.
Happiest of New Year's to you, San Geraldo and all those you love and care for. I remember the 12 grapes on New Year's eve from a dinner in Madrid. The folks at the next table explained the tradition and its origins to us. It was a bit of a challenge to each 12 one right after the other.
ReplyDeleteWillym:
DeleteOur first year in Sevilla, Jerry bought the biggest, most beautiful grapes he could find. With seeds (by mistake)! We learned our lesson. Now we get the smallest we can find without seeds.
