Surf's Up! / ¡Surfear!
ALEXANDER, OUR FRIENDS' Tynan and Elena's son, wanted to go surfing today. Elena wasn't thrilled with the idea, but I told her over morning coffee that the sea wasn't at all rough despite the threatening skies. By the time we returned home, however, things had changed. Alexander could have come over and surfed in our pool.

DeleteA day later and so far no rain. But the surf (on the sea) is wild!
Impressive wind and waves. We have been deluged with rain and some intermittent gale-force wind over on this side of the world too. Sunny and calm this afternoon, though.
ReplyDeleteWilma,
DeleteMore wind today and supposed to get worse before it eases up late Wednesday. Glad you’ve enjoyed a bit of sunshine.
I think I'll enjoy the view from indoors!
ReplyDeleteBob,
DeleteBlowing like crazy with super high surf today. I’m going for a walk on the beach.
The day after tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteJohn,
DeleteIs that when you’ll be here?
Cyclonic winds for sure!!
ReplyDeleteJim,
DeleteStill blowing and Wednesday is supposed to be twice as bad.
Holy crap, very windy to have whitecaps in your swimming pool
ReplyDeleteCheapchick,
DeleteWednesday is supposed t be really fierce. I AM going surfing... in the pool.
We have knobs and adjustments for such settings in our pool.
ReplyDeleteSpo,
DeleteWe use environmentally friendly wind power here.
Surfs up
ReplyDeleteAdam,
DeleteAnd there are some gnarly waves, dude.
Yikes! Cyclonic winds, indeed. Very impressive, Mr. Kotter.
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth,
DeleteThanks, Horshack.
Tiny little surfboards, and surfing hamsters - I can see that. Do hamsters swim?
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteThere's only one way to find out. But I wonder if they surf.
That's one way to water the grass.

DeleteFrom what's predicted for Wednesday, I think we'll have the addition of a kiddie pool.
