IT'S A MIRACLE! San Geraldo — who truly is a saint — took out the trash this morning. And the recycling.
And... he relined the bins in the kitchen with new bags (something he's said he doesn't know how to do).
And he has been washing the dishes. Maybe not as promptly as I might do them — if I were able do them — but they're washed.
And, after he went grocery shopping, he put all the groceries away.
I could get used to this.
No, actually I couldn't. I'm so grateful but I'm already going a little nuts. My eye seems to be doing just fine, but this whole recovery thing is not as easy as I thought it would be. I'm going to cut out my morning caffeine. I get too animated after one cup and I'm not supposed to move my head that much.
Keep that head still young feller!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those blossoms. SG is a good guy. He learned well.
Jim:
DeleteMy entire persona is one of animation. Staying still is torture! About to FaceTime with the Kid Brother!
"necessity is the mother of invention" when it comes to SG.
ReplyDeleteand YOU please follow the MDs orders! you don't want to destroy all that nice surgery work with a relapse! you need your eyes!
anne marie:
DeleteI'm not one to ignore doctor's orders -- nor Jerry's. It's going well, but this is going to be a very, very loooooong month!
Awww, wuv, twu wuv.
ReplyDeleteDeedles:
DeleteI think he's a keeper. Maybe another 36 years?

ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteAren't they amazing. Even grander today.
Keep that head still so you can run free soon !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
Parsnip:
DeleteOh, to run free!
Must be terribly frustrating to be still. But I could sit and look at those flowers for hours. Hope the worst is soon past.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteThe worst is already past. The terrace is overjoyed right now. More photos to come.
G'day, Mitch, it's been way too long since I visited. *smacks self*
ReplyDeleteI hope your recovery continues apace, matey.
I had eye surgery myself earlier in the year (removal of a pterygium). No big deal really, but I found it a pain in the arse, er, eye.
Eyes are scary things. We just take them for granted until the dratted things misbehave. I am sending a stern message to yours to jolly well behave in future, or else!
Rozzie:
DeleteSo good to see you here! A pterygium? I'll have to look that up. It sounds like an alien life form. Glad you've recovered. You're right about taking them for granted. I still can't see out of my left eye (just a blur) and it's very disconcerting. I should consider myself very lucky.
It'll all be done soon. Here's to a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteThanks. Going well. I'm thinking of heading into the kitchen to whip up some profiteroles.
Let him pamper you while you recover!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteI'm so lucky (and he doesn't give me much choice).
Sit down, Mitch. Relax. Savor the pampering. Sooner or later, SG's day will come!
ReplyDeleteJennifer:
DeleteAnd payback will be a bitch!
Relax and enjoy. It sounds like a good week to develop a YouTube addiction.
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteFortunately, I'm such a lightweight with even Tylenol that all I want to do is sleep!
