Pyramids Or Podiatry / Pirámide O Podología

CONTRIBUTING SIGNIFICANTLY TO my depression problems these past weeks has been the pain I've been experiencing in my hip — since September. From everything I've read I think it's probably sciatica. I had a sonogram two weeks ago and will follow up soon. Meanwhile, the pain has been unpleasant — waking me from a sound sleep if I roll in the wrong direction. Walking, however, feels great. So, I do as much of that as I can. Monday, I took a long walk. I stopped along the way to photograph a new sand sculpture with a solar-powered fountain and discovered that the artist was selling jewelry. I liked him and wanted to support him, so I bought a pendant I didn't need. A pyramid (or a triangle) — ceramic and fused glass. He placed the cord around my neck and I continued my walk. An hour later, when I returned home, I realized I was bending and moving painlessly. I don't seriously believe in the power of the pyramid. However...

Note 1:
I took off the pendant when I went to bed. I woke up in pain. It's back around my neck. Just in case.

Note 2:
See the final photo for what I had on my feet last night. I didn’t notice until we were walking home after dinner. I wonder if that's causing the hip problem.

Won't find someone here. San Geraldo has been known to regularly wear his underwear backwards.

I DO need a valet and a hippie makes pyramid pendants. The next day, when I told him jokingly about my "magic cure," he (thankfully) laughed and said, "Well I don't know about magical powers, but at least it was made with love."

You certainly know about pain. Mine can't compare to what you went through. I think they're both very nice shoes.

  4. The pendant is pretty - why not wear it! As for the shoes I take a walk daily and one summer day when I got home and went to take my sandals off I realized I had done the same thing! You would think my feet would register that they felt different from one another.

On the walk home from dinner, I did think my feet felt odd. That's when I looked down and then took that picture. Unbelievable.

  5. Oh, that last photo made me laugh! Sorry to hear about the hip pain, that's a real chronic annoyance.

The hip has honestly been significantly better lately. Only certain positions cause pain, and not as much as before. Is that a glimmer of hope I see? I was stunned when I looked down at my feet.

The shoes would definitely do it. But I don't think I've been wearing them every day (then, what would I know).

  8. I feel your pain; well similar. My left hip, leg, and lower back hurt almost constantly these days and sleeping is a problem. It doesn't hurt when I run, though, so I run most days. Hope the pyramid solves your problems. I will look for a pyramid of my own . . . .

Dudo is aghast that you would go out wearing those shoes.

So sorry about your pains. Glad you can run. I embarrass Dudo constantly.

  9. Hubby regularly goes out with clothing inside out...but never two different shoes. Must get a hall mirror so you can do a once over before you head out. I hope you get some relief from your pain - that sucks!

Yep, I've done that with T-shirts. Jerry has worn underwear backwards! You'd think I would have noticed the shoes when I slipped my foot in one and tied the other. At least they were both black.

I've started to put on a wrong shoe but have never before not noticed as I'd done it. (Well, except for when i went out in one brown sandal and one black one... but other than that they were identical so the feel was exactly the same).

Well, I do have a pair that looks very similar but that pair has a right-footed lace-up shoe and a left-footed slip-on. In terms of fashion, they make a similar statement. Probably didn't need to buy the second pair.

  14. Oops. But wait... you didn't notice that you only had to tie one shoe?
