Living in Soho / Viviendo En Soho

I RECEIVED ANOTHER artful card from my pal Luke with a poem written by both his parents this time. (Click here for the last one.) Here's the English translation of the poem, which is much better (and rhymes) in Spanish:
You have the red eye.
The detached retina
Jerry is lame
But he's learning to clean!
I know you are weak
from the big wound.
Forget living in Soho.
Fuengirola is your life!!
The only reason that I can think of for the reference to Soho is because it rhymes with ojo rojo (red eye), cojo (lame), and flojo (weak).

RECIBÍ OTRA TARJETA astuta de mi compadre Luke con un poema escrito por ambos padres, Pedro y Kathleen, esta vez. (Haz clic aquí para la ultima.)

DUDO, THE ART CRITIC, ARRIVES.
DUDO, EL CRÍTICO DEL ARTE, LLEGA.

HE LIKES IT!
¡A ÉL LE GUSTA!
MOOSE COULD NOT BE LESS INTERESTED.
MOOSE NO PODRíA ESTAR MENOS INTERESADO.

Well, at least he liked this one. After a thorough review, he rubbed his cheek on it. He turned his back on the last one.

What a perfect gesture to make you feel better, Mitch! Very sweet of this family to do this.
    Love the photos.

They are the most wonderful family, and individuals. We are so lucky to have them in our lives.

Of course if you listen carefully I can hear Moose saying Get that camera out of my damn face.

Oh, you've made me so happy. I love these boys like I've never loved pets before (and we've had pets I've loved). And your're right about Moose. He seems to get really disgusted with me and my camera.

  7. Reminds me of the two family cats in my life. My mom's cat is curious about everything, the inlaws cat couldn't give a crap.

Dudo does not miss anything. If you move a piece of furniture, he stalks it until he's sure everything's OK. Moose? Well, he's not usually indifferent but he DOES miss quite a bit.

Kathleen, Pedro, and Luke are always just what the doctor ordered. Can't believe how lucky we are that Kathleen found us 2 years ago. I love that shot of Moose. So rare to get something like that of him. When I get close with the camera, he usually turns away.

  9. At least Dudo didn't turn round and raise his tail at it. He has decorum.

Dudo is very classy. Even when he's dragging his butt across the freshly laundered sheets!

  10. Love the multi-media art creation. Dudo was quite cautious, but thorough. Nice closeup of Moose.

I love all my Luke art, too! Dudo is hilariously cautious but so curious. If you move a piece of furniture or leave a pair of shoes where they don't belong, he'll stalk and circle until he's sure it's safe (or maybe it's until he's decided the new location is acceptable).

  12. Dudo isn't into art, he's into food and thought he could eat it.

Oddly, these guys do NOT eat anything but they're own food -- unless a piece of chicken from dinner drops on the floor. Dudo is on THAT like a shot. But, anything else, they consider inedible -- including tongue depressor art.
