WE WERE BACK last night with good friends at one of our local hangouts, Restaurante Primavera. San Geraldo gets hooked on a dish at a given restaurant and eats it to death. Then he gets hooked on something else. For the past several months, his Primavera dish has been Penne con Pluma Iberica (penne pasta with acorn-fed, free-range Iberian pork). I like to change things up. Last night I had cannelloni with beef. I followed with a cake made with walnuts, almonds, coffee, and I don't know what else. It was superb and it was accompanied by freshly made stracciatella ice cream. Jerry's cooking chicken pesto pasta and baked apples to take to the home of other friends tonight. Our social life does seem to revolve around food, doesn't it?
food is the way to keep/make good friends!

DeleteAnd it's something to keep you distracted when you're with people you don't like... (Did I just say that?!? Maybe it's time for a nap.)
It all looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteKirk:
DeletePrimavera proudly serves only organic products and everything is freshly made on premises. AND... it's a 5-minute walk from home.
Food is the centre of attention....as it should be!
ReplyDeleteJim:
DeleteI never enjoyed family meal time growing up. I've made up for it.
Good food, good friends. Nothing better.
ReplyDeleteWilma:
DeleteI agree. We've hit the jackpot here.
You guys are the best!!! Said friends are sooo thankful.
ReplyDeleteKMoff:
DeleteAnd you know we're members of the Mutual Admiration Society!
I'm so jealous of all that delicious food!
ReplyDeleteJennifer:
DeleteWe really did hit the jackpot in this town. Never would have imagined it.
Life DOES revolve around good food, as far as I'm concerned!
ReplyDeleteDebra:
DeleteI never would have thought so, but having moved so much in our lives, restaurants have been our way of socializing and getting to know people. We sure have lucked out here in Fuengirola. On top of that, Jerry's cooking!
Oh my. My, my, my.
ReplyDeleteJudy:
DeleteI never enjoyed meals when I was growing up. Since Jerry, I sure have learned!
Yes Please !
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
Parsnip:
DeleteThe ice cream started melting on the way to the post office, so I had to eat it myself. No reason to send the cake without it. So sorry!
I just took off my pants.

DeleteSomething new and different?
My wife is making herself chicken wings, after I told her she couldn't order them from a restaurant lol.
ReplyDeleteAdam:
DeleteAnd why couldn't she order them from a restaurant? (Anyway, I'm not a fan -- to say the least -- of chicken wings.)
How you two keep your figures around such tasty eats is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteSpo:
DeleteWell, I DO like to walk and work out but after this month of doing next to nothing, I don't know why i didn't gain 10 pounds either!
And why shouldn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth:
DeleteI knew I'd get no argument from you!
The routine things in life, food included, need not be boring.
ReplyDeleteTravel:
DeleteSo true.
Looks good, but the important thing I wanna know is, why did Maddie take off his pants?
ReplyDeleteDeedles:
DeleteYou need to ask!?! Any excuse!
Of course I needed to ask! I'm a good girl, I am!
