Read Her Beads / Lee Sus Rosarios

La versión español está después de las dos fotos de mi camino a la procesión.

AS I MENTIONED yesterday, this week is Fuengirola's festival (Feria del Rosario) in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary, and yesterday was the procession of the Virgin, which I attended. There are a lot of photos today (14), so I'll let you get right to them.

I ALMOST FORGOT THE VIRGIN!
¡CASÍ ME OLVIDO DE LA VIRGEN!

  1. So many beautiful dresses! And I always like to see the Divine Feminine honoured, even if those doing so don't characterize it that way.

    1. Debra,
I love the incredible fashion but love even more seeing the rebellious women in traditional costume that’s not traditional for women!

The fashion is stunning. Many women spend a fortune on their custom dresses every year and wouldn’t be seen twice in the same dress... or anything that was so last year.

  8. At first, I always assumed that the women in these fancy costume dresses were wearing them because they were dancing later (or earlier). But, now I'm wondering if I've misunderstood... do women just all have these dresses just to wear to these festivals!??

    1. Judy,
Dancing is definitely not a requirement. But the most stylish women do have many dresses. Some wouldn’t be caught wearing the same one twice. Many will not wear last year’s styles. And it’s common to have old dresses redone to look different and accommodate the latest fashion trends.

    1. Kirk,
And there so much to them. What’s in this year? How to update last year’s dresses. What an investment.
