YESTERDAY, AFTER MY walk, I looked like a drowned rat. Well, come to think of, that's a lie. I'd have to have hair to look like a drowned rat. But I think I felt how a drowned rat would feel.
Today, instead of walking east, I walked west and along the way I did see a drowned rat desperately trying to protect his pile of cheese from the rain. It wasn't going well.
No iba bien.
Well, that sure beats the sand sculptures, like huge cocks I see in PTown or Fire Island.
ReplyDeleteTo each their own, Maddie, to each their own.
DeleteMaddie,
DeleteI searched all my local sand sculpture photos. We’ve had cows, ducks, sheep, and lots more farm animals, and even hippos and gators. But never a cock.
That rat looks like he's guarding a big pile of dice. People are so creative.
ReplyDeleteDeedles,
DeleteI thought They were dice, too.. and a weasel.
Ya do what ya gotta do.
ReplyDeleteDebra,
DeleteWe had.a gifted and funny sand sculptor here for a while. I miss him. This guy at least has some humor.
I don't know that rats are that choosy about how their meals are prepared. Mice, maybe, but not rats.
ReplyDeleteKirk,
DeleteI thought maybe a mouse, but I wanted to say drowned rat.
artists are cool people!
ReplyDeleteAnne Marie,
DeleteWhat we have now on the beach are a bunch of guys building alpine villages (like the one that’s covered up). I’m not a fan. I love this guy’s humor.
Poor drowned rat - his cheese is melting. But he looks more like a weasel. Hope you are nice and dry now.
ReplyDeleteWilma,
DeleteExactly. I thought it was a weasel on a pile of dice!
I like it,though, like Deedles, I got dice, too!
ReplyDeleteBob,
DeleteSo did I.
Nice sand creation.
ReplyDeleteAdam,
DeleteThis guy is fun. I miss our master sand sculptor.
I hope that artist poked some air holes in his dome...
ReplyDeleteWalt the Fourth,
DeleteI’m pretty sure he got out. But maybe I should have checked. Although with the amount of rain expected today, I don’t think his plastic tent is going to do any good.
Poor drowned rat! I do love those sand sculptures, though
ReplyDeleteKnatolee,
DeleteI love them, too. We don’t get many fun ones since Paul Blaine left the beach for a “real” job.
I have never seen a drowned rat, so I will have to take your word for it.
ReplyDeleteSpo,
DeleteReally, I’ve never seen one either. But sadly I have seen drowned woodchucks, which are more what the sand sculpture looks like anyway.
