Lookin' Out At the Road / Mirando El Camino

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

SAN GERALDO TOOK the car and went grocery shopping. He called just as he pulled out to say, "I don't know if you're interested, but something happened in front of the ice cream place across the street. Police cars are blocking the Paseo.

Nothing had happened. There was a road race, a dash of some kind with the start or finish line (it turned out to be both) on our corner. I went out again a while later and saw the Paseo was blocked for San Geraldo's return. I phoned and warned him, and caught him just in time. I watched him turn our corner (and honk at someone who had stopped his car to watch the race on the only street open to traffic).

THAT'S SAN GERALDO IN THE BLUE.
ESO ES SAN GERALDO EN EL AZUL.
TWO VEHICLES BEHIND SAN GERALDO. IT GOT STUCK AT THE OTHER END OF THE STREET — A MUCH TIGHTER TURN.
DOS VEHICULOS DESPUÉS DE SAN GERALDO. SE QUEDÓ ATASCADO EN EL OTRO EXTREMO DE LA CALLE, UN GIRO MUCH MÁS CERRADO.
I WOULD HAVE RUN MYSELF, BUT I DIDN'T WANT MY ICE CREAM TO MELT.
YO HUBIERA CORRIDO, PERO NO QUERÍA QUE MI HELADO SE DERRITIERA.

Lo siento porque no puedo encontrar una versión español.

  2. looks like a scene along the florida coast (but without the bugs and religious freaks).

one of my co-workers just landed in barcelona this morning, the start of a week-long sea cruise with his aunt. I have showed him your blog pix; he was drooling with anticipation.

Yep, much fewer bugs and religious freaks here! Oh, I would love that cruise from Barcelona (well, except for having to share the ship with other people).

Calcium for bones. You can't run without them.

It would have been such a difficult choice... but the ice cream was already open.

It was my mother's favorite food group. She went on a diet when I was in high school. She did so well the first morning that she decided to reward herself with a bowl of ice cream at noon.

Well, I hope you had some. (I've had it more than once since then.)

  8. That smaller police car looks pretty sporty and fancy! Cute wheels on your blue one.

I think you chose wisely with the icecream instead of running. ;)

The City got new cars this season. They look so cool. And we do love our car. (Have you ever seen the tail lights on this Prius? I want to walk behind it at night.)

  10. I can see you as a runner, you'd enjoy the movement. In the late 80's early 90's I ran in about 100 races - I miss it, and it shows.

I DID run, but never at your level. You wouldn't catch me competing.
