Skorts, Sleeves, S'hlongs

STILL IN STYLE in Fuengirola this season are shorts with one leg longer than the other.

With the word "skort" — a combination of a skirt and shorts — as my inspiration, I've decided to call these "s'hlongs."

ASSYMETRICAL SLEEVES: AND THE FLORALS DON'T MATCH EITHER.
MANGAS ASIMÉTRICAS: Y LOS MOTIVOS FLORALES NO COINCIDEN TAMPOCO.

  1. How about that! I've been wearing s'hlongs for years! Of course that look doesn't happen until I walk. If I'd have known that I was being fashion forward, I wouldn't have wasted all of that time pulling them out of my crotchal area!

    1. Deedles,
Doesn’t that drive you crazy? When I see people with their shorts unintentionally tucked I want to pull them out for them.

  2. LOL!
Having skinny legs I don't think a s'hlong would be a worry for me.
Now to that 'sleeve'.....if I was younger I would definitely get one done on my left arm. Done well and artistically they can look good, I think. It's just that the 'stinging' while getting tattoos can be a pain! I have a very low pain threshold.

    1. Jim,
Oh, I’m sure a s’hlong would work for you. I also have wanted a tatto but living here I’ve seen some really sad examples on the street and have changed my mind.

  4. wondered how you were going to explain that title. Regarding the s'hlongs - as long as the long side is on the side one hangs on, it is OK. I'm not a fan of naughty bits on public display.

    1. Wilma,
I’ll bet they do this to make you think it’s really long and they need it for coverage!

  8. I can handle these as long as none of them had on CROC'S. I hate those things ...they are so hideous, they make me angry.

    1. Maddie,
I’ll start collecting crocs photos. You would not believe the variety worn here!

But these are worn this way intentionally. Obsessive-Compulsive me is SO tempted to pull shorts down when they gut stuck in people's cracks. I've managed to restrain myself... so far. It REALLY drives me crazy. That and twisted purse shoulder straps, unbuttoned collars, exposed labels...

  13. Maddie, Maddie. Hate the croc, not the croc wearer! Are crocs those very colorful plasticky, rubberish shoes that look like they make your feet sweat so much that you slip and slide in them? I get clogs and crocs mixed up. I don't wear either, but live and let live.
